IBSA Derma launch their first virtual conference

Virtual conference

IBSA Derma developed and hosted their first virtual conference on 12-15 June 2020 in IBSA World; an innovative online space reserved for doctors. With the objective of combining a digital experience with a face-to-face experience, 3000 delegates from 65 countries were able to attend the IBSA Derma Virtual Congress to access an in-depth coverage of a host of topics ranging from anatomy to innovative derma aesthetic techniques alongside seminars dedicated to hyaluronic acid.

Providing doctors and medical practitioners with increasingly up-to-date learning tools and methodologies has always been a priority for IBSA and even more so today, in the current international pandemic situation that has made it impossible to just attend a refresher event. The IBSA World platform was developed to provide delegates with a real conference experience whereby each user was able to create their own avatar, take part in events as well as move in the virtual space and have all the experiences of a real conference environment: the stands, meeting rooms, auditorium for live reports and press room.

During the congress, the MYVolution concept and NEW Aliaxin Lips Volume were launched and presented by international speakers Dr Beatriz Molina and Dr Riccardo Forte. MYVolution® is a novel approach that has been developed to meet new market needs with a focus on enhancing the authentic beauty that we all possess. During the Virtual Congress, IBSA Derma illustrated to aesthetic doctors how, through the MYVolution® approach and Aliaxin® fillers, practitioners can turn the digital image (2D) into a real one (3D), focusing on specific facial areas and using the correct amount of hyaluronic acid.

"Our aim with this project was to do something innovative, extremely practical, straightforward and addressed to everyday practice. The idea is also to challenge the trend that is so very much recommended these days: massive filler implants based on hyaluronic acid," said Doctor Riccardo Forte. "We, on the other hand, want to reach out to all those who wish to simplify processes while, at the same time, achieving good, if not excellent, results through a more accessible quantity of product and a minimally invasive profile. We therefore came up with something new, something that would take stock of market changes and of the past decade transformation in the sense of aesthetics: I, for one, belong to that generation that still used a mirror, whereas today, you use your smartphone’s camera to look at yourself".

"I think it is very important to understand why millennials have such as strong desire for a natural look. They want to appear themselves, they don't want to look like someone else; all they strive for is a better version of themselves," states Doctor Beatriz Molina.
