The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) Annual Conference is a premier international meeting in medical laser and energy-based applications. Each year, attendees convene to exchange research, education, and ideas that promote high standards of clinical care. In 2024, the ASLMS Annual Conference will take place in Baltimore, Maryland.
Spanning three and a half days, the conference will showcase the latest advancements in the field through abstracts, plenary presentations, device demonstrations, and workshops. The 2024 programme chairs have developed a diverse programme designed to appeal to a broad audience. Attendees can choose from over 40 workshops in clinical aesthetic and medical applications, basic science, research, engineering, multispecialty, practice management, early career, and industry-sponsored content. This year’s programme has a greater emphasis on the science and engineering behind the devices. New workshops include ‘How Does It Work? Inside the Machines’, ‘Lasers in Surgical Specialties: Basic Science and Translational Applications’, and ‘Think Tank: Beyond the Shark Tank’. Aesthetic and medical topics include energy-based treatments for body contouring, skin tightening, combination therapies, scars, vascular, tattoos, hair, skin of colour, complications and legal issues, laser safety, and practice management.
The industry-sponsored Laser Learning Labs within the Exhibit Hall are returning, providing attendees with a hands-on experience with the devices. The latest device innovations will also take centre stage through industry-sponsored presentations, engaging lunch and learn sessions, and a feature session titled ‘Evolving/Emerging Technologies: Device Demonstrations’. This comprehensive approach ensures that attendees not only get to interact directly with the devices but also gain valuable insights into their potential applications.
